Hard water, chlorine smell, sulfur taste — Central Florida water has real issues. HALO whole-house filtration, salt-free conditioners, water softeners, and under-sink reverse osmosis. 5-year parts & labor warranty on every install.
Four kinds of water treatment — each solves a different problem. Most Orlando homes need a combination. Here's the plain-English breakdown.
Orlando water comes from one of two sources — the Floridan Aquifer (city water) or private wells. Both have known quality issues that affect taste, your plumbing, and your appliances.
We're certified HALO installers. HALO makes premium whole-house systems with salt-free conditioning options — ideal for Florida homes, septic systems, and lawn irrigation. Every install includes our 5-year parts and labor warranty.
A whole-house filter makes your shower and laundry water clean. But for what you drink and cook with, you want reverse osmosis. It's installed under your kitchen sink with a dedicated faucet.
Unlike a carbon filter that handles chlorine and sediment, a 5-stage RO system removes dissolved contaminants at the molecular level. In Orlando water, that means:
RO systems produce water cleaner than most bottled water at a fraction of the cost. A typical family stops buying bottled water entirely after installation, paying off the system in 18-24 months.
Clean, professional installation by licensed plumbers. Most whole-house systems install in 4-6 hours. We handle everything — from permit to final testing.

Every install includes the system, professional installation, permits, water test, and our 5-year parts and labor warranty. No hidden fees.
Price varies by home size, water quality, and system selected. Reverse osmosis drinking water systems available starting at $595 installed. Well-water systems require additional filtration and are priced separately. Call for a free in-home water quality assessment.
Applies to HALO 5, HALO ION, and all whole-house systems. Combined with our $2,500 starting price, you get a fully-installed whole-house filtration system for as little as $2,250 — or about $38/month with 0% financing. Apply now →

We come to your home, test your water for hardness, chlorine, iron, pH and TDS — and show you exactly what's in it. You see the test results live. Takes about 20 minutes. No pressure, no obligation to buy anything.
Real answers to the questions Orlando homeowners ask most.
Most Orlando homes benefit from both — but they solve different problems. A whole-house filter removes chlorine, chloramine, sediment, and bad taste/smell. A water softener (or salt-free conditioner) tackles hard water — the minerals that leave scale on fixtures, shorten your water heater's life, and make soap harder to lather. If you see white spots on glassware and your skin feels dry after showers, you need a softener or conditioner. If your water smells like chlorine or sulfur, you need a filter. HALO whole-house systems can do both in one unit.
For most Orlando homes, yes — and it's often the better choice. Salt-free conditioners use Template-Assisted Crystallization to prevent scale from forming on pipes and appliances without adding sodium to your water. They require no salt purchases, no regeneration cycles, and don't discharge brine into your septic or lawn (which matters in Florida where many yards are irrigated). Traditional salt softeners may still be preferred for very hard well water above 20 grains per gallon.
Often, yes. That rotten-egg smell is hydrogen sulfide, common in water drawn from the Floridan Aquifer. A HALO whole-house system with appropriate filtration media removes it along with iron and manganese. For severe sulfur problems, we may recommend an aeration tank or specialized iron filter in addition to the whole-house system. We'll test your water first and recommend exactly what you need.
HALO whole-house systems are designed to be virtually maintenance-free. Salt-free units have no salt to replenish and no regeneration cycles. The filtration media lasts up to 15 years for many models. We recommend an annual inspection to check pressure and performance, which we include free for the first year on all new installations.
Yes — garages are the most common installation location in Orlando homes. We install the main whole-house unit where your main water line enters the home, typically in the garage near the water heater. Reverse osmosis units install under your kitchen sink for drinking water. Installation takes most of a day and we leave the work area clean.
Orlando Utilities Commission (OUC) water meets all EPA Safe Drinking Water Act standards, so it's legally safe. But 'safe' and 'ideal' are different things. OUC water uses chloramine for disinfection, contains disinfection byproducts, has measurable hardness from the Floridan Aquifer, and may pick up lead or copper from older home plumbing. A whole-house filter plus under-sink reverse osmosis gives you water that tastes better and is cleaner than bottled water.
A properly-sized HALO system has negligible impact on water pressure — typically less than 2 PSI under normal flow. If pressure drops more than that, the system may be undersized for your home or the filtration media needs attention. We size every installation to your home's water demand so this isn't an issue. If you ever notice pressure loss, we diagnose it free under the warranty.
Salt-free conditioners and whole-house filters do not affect septic systems — they don't backwash or discharge brine. Traditional salt-based softeners DO discharge sodium-rich brine during regeneration, which can disrupt septic bacteria and damage drain fields. This is why most Orlando homes on septic are better served by salt-free HALO systems. We'll recommend the right system for your setup.
HALO systems are built for 15-20 years of service. The filtration media lasts 10-15 years for most units. The tank, valve, and housing are warranted for 5 years on parts and labor through our installation, with extended warranties available. Compare that to the cost of bottled water over 20 years and the system pays for itself several times over.
They do different jobs. A whole-house filter protects your plumbing, appliances, and skin by removing chlorine, sediment, and hardness from every faucet. Reverse osmosis at the kitchen sink gives you ultra-purified drinking water — removing 99%+ of lead, arsenic, fluoride, PFAS, and dissolved solids that whole-house filters don't target. Together they give you soft, clean water throughout the home plus premium drinking water at the tap.
